The H2Excellence: Fuel Cells and Green Hydrogen Centres of Vocational Excellence workshop will focus on advancing vocational education and training (VET) in the rapidly growing field of fuel cells and green hydrogen. This virtual event aims to provide key insights into the current state of VET in this crucial sector, identifying existing educational provisions, skill gaps, and opportunities for development in the green hydrogen value chain. Participants will explore strategies for mapping the ecosystem and fostering collaboration among industry actors to ensure excellence in green hydrogen education.
Scheduled to take place online on the 24th of October 2024 from 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM, the workshop will feature a diverse lineup of experts from academia and industry. Discussions will cover topics ranging from the role of Centers of Vocational Excellence in green hydrogen education to approaches for building governance structures that support skills ecosystems in this field. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in interactive evaluations and case studies presented by leading companies, offering real-world insights into vocational training and its application to the green hydrogen industry. The session will conclude with a Q&A addressing skill gaps and the future of VET in green hydrogen.
The workshop promises to be the first of a series of online appointments to share knowledge and eventually build the capacity of regional or national networks, bringing together educational providers, industry leaders and public authorities working to enhance skills relevance and adherence to industry trends of development.
