Forum on Vocational Excellence 2026 – Joint Workshop by H2Excellence, H2CoVE and H2VE

H2Excellence is pleased to announce its participation in the Forum on Vocational Excellence 2026, taking place in Graz, Austria. Together with the two other hydrogen-focused Centres of Vocational Excellence projects, H2Excellence, H2CoVE and H2VE will co-organize a joint workshop titled “How Hydrogen CoVEs Accelerate the Green Energy Transition: Progress, Gaps and Ways Forward.”

The workshop will bring together the three European Centres of Vocational Excellence that are dedicated to hydrogen. The session will provide a unique opportunity to showcase achievements, exchange experiences, and discuss the future of hydrogen skills development across Europe.

Green hydrogen is widely recognized as a key enabler of Europe’s transition to climate neutrality. While significant policy support and investment have accelerated the development of the hydrogen economy, the sector continues to face challenges related to skills availability, workforce development, and implementation capacity.

During the workshop, representatives from H2Excellence, H2CoVE and H2VE will:

  • Present the progress and results achieved by the three hydrogen CoVEs.
  • Share lessons learned from developing regional and European hydrogen skills ecosystems.
  • Discuss current gaps in hydrogen education, training and workforce development.
  • Explore opportunities for stronger collaboration to support the green energy transition.
  • Highlight concrete actions that can help bridge remaining skills and implementation gaps across Europe.

The session will examine how hydrogen CoVEs are responding to stakeholder needs through innovative vocational education and training solutions, industry cooperation, curriculum development, upskilling and reskilling initiatives, and regional innovation activities.
