Education in Hydrogen Technologies – at the Centre of the Hydrogen VET Forum

The Hydrogen VET Forum was held on 9-11 May, 2024 at the Circuit of Spa Francorchamps is an initiative organized within the framework of the European Skills Agenda by the Automotive Skills Alliance, Green Skills for H2 and Skills Alliance for Industrial Symbiosis as part of the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The event organization was co-supported by the FLAMENCO project. This two-day event offered a learning experience for teachers in vocational education and training.

The program included interactive workshops, expert meetings, and site visits, where VET teachers could learn about the essential role of hydrogen in the automotive sector firsthand from industry specialists. The participants engaged in hands-on training and closely examined two hydrogen prototypes. The visit to the Hydrogen Village brought more discussions with experts in the field. Followed by a practical demonstration of a demo lap of the hydrogen-powered car, showcasing hydrogen technology in action.

From H2Excellece project, Karna Dahal from VAMK, Sanna Kangasvieri from VAMIA, and Roberta Mecozzi from ENEA participated the Forum. For H2Excellence project partners, it was also a great opportunity for networking and disseminating the H2Excellence project.
