This September, the H2Excellence project will bring together partners, researchers, educators, and industry representatives for an exciting Exploratory Mission to Montréal, Canada (21-24 September 2026), hosted by our valuable international partner, Polytechnique Montréal (PM).
The four-day programme offers a unique opportunity to discover Canada’s dynamic hydrogen ecosystem, connect with leading experts, and explore new opportunities for international collaboration. Participants will engage with organizations at the forefront of hydrogen innovation, clean energy technologies, and industrial decarbonization.
Highlights include a dedicated Hydrogen Networking Day, featuring inspiring presentations from project partners, industry leaders, researchers, policymakers, and innovation organizations. Participants will also visit some of Canada’s leading hydrogen and clean energy facilities, including the Hydrogen Research Institute (IRH), CanmetENERGY Varennes, and Greenfield Global, gaining first-hand insight into cutting-edge research, industrial applications, and low-carbon technologies.
The mission concludes with a Fuel Cell Mini-Course which offers an engaging introduction to fuel cell technologies, their applications across transport sectors, recent technological advances, and their role in accelerating the global energy transition.
More than just a study visit, this mission is designed to strengthen international networks, foster knowledge exchange, and create new partnerships that support the development of a skilled workforce for the hydrogen economy.
