The Forum on Vocational Excellence is an event for and by Centres of Vocational Excellence (both Erasmus CoVEs and national CoVE initiatives). The Centres of Vocational Excellence are not only a European initiative and there are many similar national CoVE initiatives. One of the main goals of this year’s Forum is to provide matchmaking opportunities between the CoVEs, both nationally and internationally.

This year’s Forum on Vocational Excellence was held between September 10 and 12 in Lyon, France. The Forum 2024 was the third Forum on Vocational Excellence and was organized in synergy with WorldSkills, whose 47th Final Competition took place in Lyon on the same dates. The aim of the forum was to improve cooperation between education, business, and society. This year the event was organized as roundtable workshops and demonstrations of excellence by vocational school pupils/students/apprentices, teachers, and company representatives incorporating the programmes with the WorldSkills Conference.

The several members of the H2Excellence project also participated in Forum 2024. From the H2Excellence project consortium, Dr. Karna Dahal and Mrs. Marja-Riita Vest from VAMK, Finland, Mrs. Sanna Kangasvieri from VAMIA, Finland, Prof. María Cruz and Prof. Olga Guerrero-Pérez from the University of Malaga, Spain, Mrs. Lara Ramos, Dr. Catarina Queiroga, and Ms. Rita Frutuoso from ISQ, Portugal, Mrs. Caterina Caroli from Ecole, Italy, Mrs. Justine Viard from PVF, France, Mr. Vangelis Makris from the EEO group, Greece, and Mr. Antonio Gennarelli from EVBB, Germany joined the event. The project members utilized the forum as an ample opportunity for networking and also promoted the project.
