Himmerlands Vocational and Secondary Education
Himmerlands Erhvervs- og Gymnasieuddannelser (HEG) is a Danish upper secondary and vocational education institution offering a wide range of programmes within general upper secondary education (gymnasium) and vocational education and training (VET).
HEG provides VET programmes in close collaboration with industry, with strong competences in technical and craft-based fields, including business, mechanics, construction, energy, and agricultural machinery. In particular, HEG has extensive experience in training agricultural and construction machinery mechanics, where emerging technologies such as electrification, fuel cells, and hydrogen-based solutions are increasingly relevant.
The institution places a strong emphasis on applied learning, innovation, and close cooperation with regional and international partners. HEG actively engages in European cooperation projects and skills development initiatives, contributing to the green transition by aligning vocational training with future labour-market needs in sustainable energy and advanced technologies.
