  4. Purpose of Processing Personal Data

    • Personal data is used for maintaining customer relationships, processing orders, billing, improving the user experience in the online store, conducting analytics, and preventing misuse. Information may also be used to communicate about h2excellence’s activities if the customer has consented. Customers have the right to prohibit the use of their information for direct marketing.
  5. Contents of the Register

    • The register contains the following information: customer or company/organization name, business ID, address, phone number, email address, marketing consent information, payment and billing details, and other information related to orders and deliveries. The customer’s social security number is required for identification purposes when entering into a credit agreement.

    • When subscribing to newsletters or responding to customer surveys, the register includes the following information: name, email address, language.

    • Additionally, we collect information derived from the use of the online store, such as browsing data and device identification information (see more in the “Use of Cookies” section below).

    • The primary source of information is the user. Information is obtained from the customer during online orders, via email or phone, or when a purchase agreement is made through other means. We strive to clarify which information is mandatory for contract purposes and which can be provided voluntarily.

    • Information is used solely for managing customer relationships. Some essential information may be disclosed to third parties, such as payment processors, credit providers for installment payments, transportation companies for ensuring delivery, or analytics partners for analysis and statistics. Information may also be disclosed to authorities as required by law.

    • Data is not transferred outside the EU or EEA.
  9. Data Retention

    • h2excellence retains customer information for the duration of the customer relationship. Upon the customer’s request, their personal information can be removed from the register. However, for delivered orders, the retention obligation for order, payment, and billing information is determined in accordance with the Accounting Act (1997/1336 § 10).
  10. Use of Cookies

    • We use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about visitor traffic and enhance the service’s user experience on the user’s computer. Cookies and other identifiers have a specified validity period, after which the browser removes the identifier.

  11. Basis for Register Protection and Security Measures

    • The processing of the customer register is conducted with care, and the processed data is appropriately protected. Customer data is collected into a secure electronic database that requires a username and password for access. Access to the customer register can only be granted by its main user, who also determines the access level for users.

    • The customer register is handled confidentially. Information is only processed by h2excellence staff whose job description includes such tasks and who are bound by confidentiality obligations. Customer information is stored electronically, and unnecessary paper printouts are securely destroyed.

  12. Right of Inspection and Right to Request Data Correction

    • Customers can request a compilation file of their personal data, including all information provided to us. Requests can be made by contacting us via email. Customers can also request the deletion or modification of their personal information. Customers also have the right to object to the processing of their information for marketing purposes. Requests for data processing restrictions should be submitted via email to the register contact person.

    • The right to have personal data deleted does not apply to data that we are obligated to retain for administrative, legal, such as fulfilling accounting responsibilities, or security reasons.
