The H2Excellence project recently held a hybrid Education- Business-Research Development Forum at the Polytechnique Institute of Portaledge (IPP), Portugal. This event brought together vocational education and training (VET) providers, academics, research institutions, industry leaders, policymakers, and influencers in the green hydrogen and fuel cells sectors.
The forum featured two round table sessions. The first session, led by Prof. Paulo Brito from IPP (Portugal), included leaders from the hydrogen industry. The second session, moderated by Dr. Carmen Rangel from LNEG (Portugal), featured academic experts. Both sessions focused on the challenges and opportunities at the intersection of education, business, and research in green hydrogen and fuel cells.
Industry leaders and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) such as Dourogás Renovável, HyChem-Química Sustentável, PRF, DH2 Energy, Verdantia, Fusion Fuel, and EDP shared their innovation roadmaps and insights on the skills needed for the green hydrogen sector.
VET providers, universities, and research institutions such as IPP, ISQ, FEUP, AP2H2, IST, HyLab Colab, and VAMK emphasized the importance of training in green hydrogen and fuel cells.
The event attracted over 150 participants from various industries, academia, and research organizations.
