H2Excellence was presented at the WhyH2 – Sustainable Industry Congress, which was celebrated in FIRA Alicante on 22th-24th May 2024. The event attracted industry leaders (AIRBUS, ALSTOM, ABENGOA, TALGO, IBERDROLA, etc.), political representatives, SMEs, new entrepreneurs, and an impressive cohort of exhibitors (TESLA, TOYOTA, BOSCH, CIEMAT, etc.), to promote the energy transition towards a sustainable future and highlight the latest innovations in the hydrogen value chain and sustainable energy industry.
CIEMAT and the Energy Cluster of Valencia (CECV), partners of H2Excellence, participated actively in this technical conference, as exhibitors and panelist. Paloma Ferreira, researcher at CIEMAT, participated in a round-table discussion about I+D+I positioning opportunities, and Enrique Bayonne, Director of CECV, chaired a panel session related to biogas and biomethane.
The CIEMAT’s unit of Functional Materials for Hydrogen Technologies (FUNMATECH2), as exhibitor in the WhyH2 fair, presented its capacities, activities and projects to the attendants. A specific workshop for H2EXCELLENCE was organised by CIEMAT to disseminate H2Excellence activities, engage external advisors and promote participation of external parties. Lara de Diego, from the CIEMAT’s Training Unit, and Rita Valenzuela, researcher at CIEMAT, presented the H2Excellence Erasmus+ project to the attendees. This extraordinary platform offered a great opportunity for capacity building in different sectors, with a special focus on renewables, hydrogen, sustainable mobility, aerospace, rail, automotive, distribution and storage.
