Third Symposium on Ammonia Energy (SoAE) was held in Shanghai, China on 22-26 September, 2024. The Symposium was organized by Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Foshan Xianhu Laboratory and the theme of this symposium was Ammonia: New Energy, New Opportunity. The Symposium shared the latest research results, discussed innovative technology solutions, and engaged in dialogue on sustainable development strategies for ammonia energy, jointly promoted the ammonia energy research, addressed related challenges, and achieved a cleaner and more sustainable future energy landscape.

Our H2Excellence partner, Dr. Giovanni Cinti, from the University of Perugia (UNIPG), Italy presented two conference abstracts titled: a) Solid Oxide Fuel Cell operating with ammonia as a fuel – air management strategy on September 25, 2024 and b) Hybrid SOFC-GT system operating with ammonia on September 26, 2024. It was also an opportunity for him to disseminate H2Excellence project in the symposium.
